The aim of the focus campaign was to test wooden toys for children under 3 years of age, in particular with regard to detachable small parts, migration limits of certain elements in existing coatings as well as saliva and perspiration fastness.

63 samples from all over Austria were analysed. 16 samples were rejected (in some cases several times):

Four samples were judged to be harmful to health
Three samples were rejected due to safety deficiencies
Two samples had labelling deficiencies
Eight samples were rejected due to a missing or inadequate EC Declaration of Conformity
