The aim of the focus campaign was to test the acoustic properties of toys and remove dangerous products from circulation.

56 samples from all over Austria were analysed. 28 samples were rejected (in some cases several times):

A total of eight samples were objected to due to safety deficiencies:
- Six samples were so loud that they were judged to be harmful to health
- One sample was harmful to health due to detachable small parts
- One sample did not meet the safety requirements due to its loudness
Twelve samples had labelling defects
18 samples due to a missing or inadequate EC Declaration of Conformity
An additional seven samples due to labelling deficiencies
