The aim of the priority action was to implement the national risk-based control plan for the production of milk, eggs and honey in the Member States. Extensive analyses were carried out on the following groups of substances:
- banned substances
- substances authorised as veterinary medicinal products such as antibiotics, agents against endo- and ectoparasites, painkillers and anti-inflammatory agents, including corticosteroids
- Antimicrobial substances
- Pesticides
582 samples from all over Austria were analysed. Two samples were rejected:
- Two milk samples were objected to due to exceeding the maximum residue limit for diclofenac, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID).
