The aim of the focus campaign was to analyse the occurrence of pathogenic germs(Listeria monocytogenes, Salmonella sp., STEC/VTEC) and viruses (hepatitis viruses, noroviruses) in frozen products. In addition, the general hygiene status (aerobic mesophilic germs, Escherichia coli, yeasts, moulds, coagulase-positive staphylococci, presumptive Bacillus cereus) of these products was examined.
92 samples from all over Austria were analysed.

Salmonella, STEC/VTEC or viruses were not detected in any of the samples analysed.
