The aim of the focus action was to verify compliance with requirements of the Toy Ordinance 2011, with particular attention to the migration limits of certain elements, preservatives present or used, and the verification of possible microbiological contamination.

45 samples from all over Austria were examined. 20 samples were rejected (in some cases several times):

• one sample (soap bubble) was rejected due to microbiological contamination
• the other samples were rejected due to labeling deficiencies or missing or deficient EC Declaration of Conformity.
