The aim of the focus action was to check raw milk from raw milk vending machines for germs and residues of cleaning agents.

60 samples from all over Austria were examined. 23 samples were rejected:

21 samples did not comply with the Raw Milk Ordinance due to excessive total bacterial counts. One sample was also contaminated with Campylobacter.
Two samples did not comply with the Raw Milk Ordinance due to labeling deficiencies.
