Final Report of Priority Action A-950-20

The focus action served to review the situation of foods for special medical purposes (FSMP - Foods for Special Medical Purposes) on the Austrian market. The newly notified products according to § 8 LMSVG were to be subjected to a targeted market surveillance. 42 samples from all over Austria were examined and assessed.

Out of 25 samples marketed as FSMP, 16 samples had to be objected.
17 samples were marketed as food supplements (NEM), they were not objectionable.
