- test the suitability of methods for different matrices
- fulfil the requirement of accreditation bodies to participate in proficiency testing
The organisation and implementation of this proficiency test is based on EN ISO 17043.

The results report is transmitted electronically. The results are anonymous and confidential and may not be passed on or published without the consent of the ALVA.
Evaluation of results
Each participating laboratory receives a certificate of participation, as well as a presentation of the success (number of outliers) and an individual report of the results and the overall report of the proficiency test in English.
