It's getting serious: from 27 September 2026, the new requirements of the Empowering Consumers Directive (EmpCo-RL) will apply. This will set clear legal limits on claims such as "sustainable", "climate-neutral" or "environmentally friendly" as well as sustainability labels.
No transition periods are planned, which means that all products on the market on the effective date will be covered by the EmpCo Directive and must comply with the requirements in order to avoid impending penalties. Find
out what you need to bear in mind now and how sustainability achievements can still be communicated in a legally compliant manner in our webinar. You can expect an overview of the legal changes, their classification and discussion based on practical examples, as well as time for your questions. You
can find the detailed programme here.
