Water in Austria reaches consumers mostly in a natural state and with excellent quality. To ensure this, it is comprehensively monitored, from the source to the tap.

Throughout Austria, we test water from municipal water supply systems and public utilities to water cooperatives, private well owners and food companies. Every year we analyze chemical parameters such as heavy metals or nitrate, physical parameters such as electrical conductivity and microbiological parameters such as legionella or fecal germs in over 10,000 drinking water samples.
