With the focus action, "walk-on toys" such as houses, tents or crawl tunnels were tested for various safety aspects.

33 samples from all over Austria were examined. 15 samples were rejected, most of them several times:

• seven samples were rejected due to safety deficiencies (including increased flame propagation speed with the formation of burning fragments and melting droplets, lack of sufficient ventilation area)
• 14 samples were rejected due to inadequate labeling.

Toys in the child's environment must be made of materials that are difficult to ignite or burn slowly and only allow the fire to spread slowly. During inspection, for example, no burning fragments or melting droplets may detach from the material Limit values are specified for certain flame retardants.

Furthermore, walk-in toys must have an exit that the intended users can easily open from the inside.
