The aim of the priority action was to comprehensively record the residue load of milk, egg and honey samples from Austrian primary production. Extensive investigations were carried out on the following groups of substances:
- banned substances
- substances approved as veterinary medicines such as antibiotics, agents against endo- and ectoparasites, painkillers and anti-inflammatory agents, including corticosteroids
- pesticides
- heavy metals and metals
- Mold toxins
761 samples from all over Austria were examined. One sample was rejected:
- one honey sample because the maximum content for glyphosate was exceeded.
