Final Report of Priority Action A-016-21

The aim of the focal action was to collect data regarding compliance with food regulations for drinking water from public drinking water wells. 305 samples from all over Austria were examined. Six samples (2.0%) were rejected as unsafe - unfit for human consumption:

In three samples, the parameter value for enterococci was exceeded.
In one sample, the parameter value for E. coli was exceeded.
Enterococci and E. coli were detected in one sample.
In one sample, the indicator parameter value for coliform bacteria was clearly exceeded.
