Final report of the priority action A-012-18

The focus action examined food supplements and cosmetic products from various distribution channels that were suspected of containing pharmaceuticals. Sampling was carried out in cooperation with the Federal Office for Safety in Health Care (BASG) in Vienna, Lower Austria and Burgenland.

31 samples were drawn. 25 samples were assigned to the food category food supplements, six samples to the category cosmetic products.

  • One "Ayurvedic Medicine" toothpaste was classified by the BASG as a medicinal product for presentation due to its claims.
