The aim of the focus campaign was to test the Austrian market for the presence of antibiotic-resistant bacteria in beef and pork.

340 beef and 340 pork samples from all over Austria were analysed:

  • ESBL/AmpC-forming E. coli was detectable in nine beef and 18 pork samples
