The aim of the priority action was to determine the possible contamination of drinking water throughout Austria with selected inorganic substances, the presence of which is suspected or cannot be ruled out.
332 samples from all over Austria were examined. In 18 samples, there was a suspicion of a violation of the provisions of the Drinking Water Ordinance.
- The indicator parameter value for iron was exceeded in seven samples.
- The parameter value for nickel was exceeded in five samples.
- The parameter values for arsenic, lead and uranium were exceeded in two samples each.
