According to § 8 TNRSG, manufacturers and importers of tobacco and related products are obliged to provide the competent authorities with a list of their products and all ingredients used in their manufacture. The information available to the authorities will be published while respecting any business secrets.

The data are reconciled and updated with the EU-CEG data on a monthly basis (mid-term).

To be noted:

• The publication on this website does NOT confirm the legality/completeness of the notification or the marketability of the notified products. The marketability is checked by the authorities on a random basis.
• Electronic cigarettes and liquids may be placed on the market no earlier than six months after notification.
• The placing on the market of tobacco for oral use is prohibited in Austria. These products therefore do not appear in this listing.
• Novel tobacco products may only be placed on the market after approval by the BMSGPK. Therefore, only authorised novel tobacco products appear here.
