National Radon Centre of Austria

The National Radon Centre of Austria was set up by AGES in 2006 to coordinate all activities relating to radon in Austria. The core tasks of the Centre are the processing and implementation of the National Radon Plan. Further key focus points are consultancy and advisory services for the authorities and local population, the conducting of special projects on relevant topics and the processing and continuous improvement of Austria’s radon potential map. The Centre has the best-equipped laboratory in Austria for the measurement of radon in the air, water and soil to help it achieve its aims.
