The National Reference Centre for Salmonella at the AGES in Graz is responsible for typing all salmonella by means of serotyping in accordance with the White-Kauffmann-Le Minor scheme. By means of lysotpying, the salmonella are then differentiated further into phage types (PT) of S. Enteritidis and into definitive types (DT) of S. Typhimurium.
