The AGES Center for Nutrition & Prevention provides professional expertise in the prevention of nutrition-associated diseases in form of targeted, group-specific information such as brochures, presentations and workshops, as well as the evaluation and development of preventive measures and activities.  

Our services include

  • Development of preventive measures (e.g. “Richtig essen von Anfang an!”/ “Healthy eating from the start!”, Initiative “Unser Schulbuffet”/ “Our School Buffet“ initiative
  • Target group-specific information, e.g. brochures
  • Quality assurance of nutritional information (professional quality control, proof reading)
  • Expert talks and discussions, subject-specific presentations (food at work, food for older people, food for children, food during pregnancy and breastfeeding)
  • Workshops (baby and toddler food, nutrition for pregnant women, for breastfeeding women and allergy information)
  • Support and cooperation in research projects survey planning, data collection
  • Evaluation of preventive measures

Healthy eating from the Start!

Workshops on food during pregnancy, the breastfeeding period and nutrition in the first year of life (baby food), as well as food for one to three year-olds have been developed as part of the program “Healthy eating from the Start!". Parents and parents-to-be in Austria, as well as their relatives, can get free practical tips and assistance, in addition to scientific information on these themes.
