  • Nasal swabs, eye swabs, genital swabs
  • Head including tonsils and larynx
  • Oesophagus 20 cm

Altered organs

  • Fist-sized section of lung (bifurcation)
  • Lymph nodes
  • Uterus, ovaries
  • Organs from fetus and placenta

Samples for the detection of antibodies

  • Serum or whole blood without anticoagulants (not frozen!)

Investigating Body

The investigations to clarify or determine cases of suspected IBR/IPV shall be conducted at the AGES-Institute for Veterinary Disease Control in Mödling.
