AGES expertise
The scientists at AGES have extremely broad disciplines and collaborate with renowned national and international experts in the field of research co-operation. Together with external partner organisations, research projects are implemented in all specialist areas of AGES, which range from food, drug and medical product safety to animal health, public health and food security. Research projects are also being carried out in research networks.
The work in the research networks serves the purpose of professional networking, the transfer of knowledge and the establishment of strategic partnerships, e.g. for joint project submission or project implementation, but also for co-operation in crisis situations. Research co-operation agreements between AGES and universities and other research facilities are at national and international level.
AGES has co-operation agreements at national level for the successful implementation of scientific work and research projects with the Austrian Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, Environment and Water Management and the Austrian Federal Ministry of Health, the University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences Vienna, the University of Veterinary Medicine Vienna, the Campus Science Support Facilities GmbH, or the competence network for environmental media soil "b5". AGES is also a co-editor of the journal "The Soil Culture - Journal for Land Management, Food and Environment". There are co-operation agreements at international level as well, e.g. with the German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR) or the German Association for International Cooperation (GIZ).
In official matters, AGES works closely with the following partner organisations:
- European Commission
- European Food Safety Authority (EFSA)
