Fitness in laboratory practice

Benefit from the expertise of the National Reference Laboratories for your competence, for your company, for your laboratory operations.

Safe and high quality food, feed and raw materials need quick and reliable proof through laboratory results. The Agency for Health and Food Safety (AGES) offers in a practice-oriented advanced training series "Laboratory Practice": Laboratory training courses for the detection of residues and pathogens as well as for the confirmation of the quality of food, feed and raw materials, among others.

Our laboratory training courses on the analysis of residues of veterinary drugs, on genetically modified organisms (GMO) or e. g. on the determination of elements comprise more than 20 course formats.

AGES operates 61 National Reference Laboratories, 21 National Reference Centres and 11 State Laboratories with Special Tasks and the Drug Control Laboratory for the analysis of food, feed, agricultural raw materials and operating materials, the detection of pathogens in humans, animals and plants. Every year 700,000 samples are processed using 1,350 accredited methods.

You can learn more about this in the form of laboratory training courses:

  • relevance of sampling
  • sample processing
  • Analytics
  • infrastructure/equipment
  • qualification of the staff
  • QM
  • reporting
  • Utilization of the test results
