The one-day classroom seminar provides an insight into the topic of geographic information systems (GIS). The theoretical basics are taught and their practical application is practised using a free and freely available GIS programme (QGIS).
The focus is on the exercises and work tasks to be completed during the seminar. This enables participants to work independently with geodata and GIS tools.
What is GIS?

Target groupThis introductory seminar is aimed at people who do not yet have any experience with GIS or who want to refresh their existing basic knowledge and carry out simple spatial analyses or simply create "maps".
