Division for Radiation Protection

The main task of the Division for Radiation Protection is to provide professional support for the Ministry of Health and Women’s Affairs and the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, Environment and Water Management to ensure public protection from radioactivity. To do this, the Division carries out a variety of projects in fields such as emergency planning and food and water monitoring. It also makes sure that all measurement sites in Austria are primed and fully operational in case of emergency.
