The Austrian Agency for Health and Food Safety GmbH takes the utmost care in handling your data. The following data protection policy is designed to provide you with an overview on how your data is used and what measures we undertake to protect it. We therefore process your data exclusively on the basis of the statutory regulations (GDPR, Austrian Data Protection Act, Austrian Telecommunications Act 2003, Austrian Health and Food Safety Protection Act).

In order to continuously improve the functionality and navigation on our homepage so that it may continue to serve as a useful and effective source of information for our users, we use a process for counting the number of visits to our homepage.

Whenever our homepage is viewed, the time of access and a signature for the accessing computer are stored. This signature consists of the IP address, and the browser and operating system IDs. This data is stored in a pseudonymised manner, which means that the signature can no longer be assigned to a specific person. The stored data is subjected to statistical analysis.

If you contact us via the contact form on the website or via email, the data you have provided will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of processing your inquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We will not disclose this data without your consent.
