The ticket for a single trip can be used for any single trip within vienna. You may change lines, but you may not interrupt your journey.

24-hour ticket:
EUR 5.70 in the Vienna Transport Authority´s ticket offices, tabacconists, ticket machines
The 24-hour Vienna card is valid throughout Vienna for exactly 24 hours from the time they are punched.

72-hour ticket:

By taxi:

Customs and VAT - shopping:

The amount and types of goods you can import into Austria without incurring customs duty depend on whether you arrive from an EU country or a non-EU country.

The current percentage of the Value Added Tax (VAT) in Austria is 10% (food) and 20% (beverage).

Credit cards:

The most common credit card in Vienna is Visa, but you should have no problem finding ATMs/cash machines that accept Mastercard or American Express as well. Major credit cards are widely accepted at hotels, stores, cafes and restaurants. Some places might charge a fee when accepting foreign credit cards at payment.

Banks and bureaux de change:

Banks are open from 08:00 to 15:00 on weekdays with late hour until 17:30 on Thursday (closed Saturdays and Sundays).
There are numerous cash machines throughout the city and plentiful bureaux de change are open during weekends.

Checks:

Personal cheques made out by foreign visitors are normally not accepted, but banks can cash Euro cheques and recognised traveller’s cheques at a fee.
