SPICED
The food chain security from the primary production to the consumer ready food against deliberate, accidental or natural (chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear) contamination stands in close correlation to the food safety of herbs and spices.
DEP2
This project propose to deepen the first results achieved by the Detection and Epidemiology of Pospiviroids project (DEP) launched during the first round of EUPHRESCO.
APOPHYT Phytoplasma diseases are among the most important problems in fruit tree growing. For movement of planting material of the genera Malus, Pyrus, Cydonia and Prunus within the Community, Directive 2000/29/EC requires freedom of visible symptoms of apple proliferation (AP), pear decline (PD) and European stone fruit yellows (ESFY) that are caused by Candidatus Phytoplasma mali, Ca. P. pyri and Ca. P. prunorum, respectively.
LYSTRAT The project is designed to assess the impact of climate-induced stress and
heavy rain events on the soil hydrology, the mass transport in the soil profile,
chemical soil properties, emissions of greenhouse gases and the biological activity and biodiversity of the major soil types (calcaric phaeozem, gleyic phaeozem, calcic chernozem) of the Pannonian production area.
ClimAllergy There is much evidence that global warming increases pollen quantity, pollen allergenicity and induces longer pollen seasons. One of the key issues is that climate change may alter the distribution of allergy-inducing plant species.
FARM-CLIM FARM-CLIM assesses N and GHG fluxes in Austrian agriculture and proposes measures for improvement. Those measures will undergo an economic assessment. The IPCC default emission factor for soil N2O emissions will be reviewed and improved including the development of regional concepts to implement mitigation measures.
Austrian Carbon Calculator Climate change will affect plant productivity due to weather extremes. However, adverse effects could be diminished and satisfying production levels may be maintained with proper soil conditions.
CaSPeRL In 2011, EFSA issued Guidance (European Food Safety Authority; Submission of scientific peer-reviewed open literature for the approval of pesticide active substances under Regulation (EC) No 1107/2009.
BIOMO The objective of this project is to implement and test an electronic system for the collection and transformation of zoonoses, zoonotic agents, animal population, antimicrobial resistance (AMR), food-borne outbreaks (FBO) data in accordance with the EFSA’s XML schemas and the EFSA’s “Guidance on Data Exchange”.
Drosophila suzukii Drosophila suzukii, the spotted-wing Drosophila, is a vinegar fly native to Asia, which recently has been introduced to Europe. D. suzukii infests thin-skinned fruits and poses a significant risk to soft fruits, stone fruits as well as grapes.
SNIFFER
Project SNIFFER envisions the design and development of a network of distributed detection devices, capable of rapid, on-site detection of multiple kinds of agents and CBR agents with high sensitivity and specificity throughout the most vulnerable stages of the food supply chain (such as farms, large collection centers, wholesalers, etc…).
